Investing in youth employment and youth leadership are at the core of the Youth at Heart strategy by the Dutch ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Enterprise for Peace Scholarship, managed the Orange Corners team at The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), is an important programme to strengthen youth leadership. With this programme, the Netherlands has facilitated participation of around 85 youth from Africa and the Middle-East during the September 2022 One Young World Summit in Manchester.
The Dutch Ambassador for Business & Development, Steven Collet, participated in a plenary session during this Summit, together with Enterprise for Peace scholar and founder of the Bluvard Leadership Initiative in Nigeria, Esther Okeoghene Edward. During this session, Steven and Esther discussed the topic of Promoting Youth Employment: Upskilling Future Generations.
